|I have been a porcelain Painter since 1980 when I enrolled in a class at the studio of Frances Caird. The teacher was the very talented Helen Jones.
We were living in the country at this time so I travelled 160km to each lesson. My husband Frank was a great support as I did not drive in the city. During the years I have participated in workshops given by local, interstate and overseas artists and wish to thank them for their encouragement and enthusiasm.
My main interest is painting the lovely wildflowers of Western Australia, but I enjoy all subjects and the use of modern techniques.
After retiring to Perth in 1992 I was fortunate to have Beryl Shropshall as a tutor. Beryl encouraged me to become a teacher, so after serving time as an associate member of APAT WA, I became a full member in 2001.
I have had the privilege to serve as Secretary to APAT WA for 2 years.
